Biography
Maddie’s approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, understanding, and validation. She creates a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe sharing their challenges and experiences. She values building strong therapeutic relationships that foster trust, growth, and self-confidence while helping clients develop skills that support lasting well-being. Maddie balances compassion with accountability by encouraging insight by incorporating practical between-session work to promote meaningful change.
Maddie works primarily with adults, but also provides therapy for children and adolescents. She helps clients who are experiencing difficulties navigating anxiety, depression, life changes and shifts, self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, social communication, family dynamics and relationship patterns, suicidal ideation, and other mental health concerns.
Her therapeutic approach focuses on helping clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing effective coping skills and healthier patterns. She helps clients strengthen emotion regulation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build healthier relationships and navigate challenges with greater confidence. Using evidence-based approaches, Maddie collaborates with clients to identify their strengths and achieve their goals.
Maddie holds an LCSW, LSW, and MSW. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and French from American University and her Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, with a specialization in school social work. She has experience working in private practice with clients ages 7 through adulthood and began her career in middle and high school settings, supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.
