Biography

Life can be challenging as we navigate relationships, stressors and change. Taking the step to being in therapy takes such courage and is a bold act of self-care. It would be an honor for us to walk alongside you in your journey to restoring joy and getting closer to the person you want to be.
Amy is devoted to creating an encouraging and safe space. Amy will partner with you to identify your unique goals and to build upon the skills you already possess. Amy’s therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy (P-CT) to help clients develop self-awareness, foster self-compassion, support mindset shifts, and provide practical steps for goal achievement.

Amy received her Master of Social Work degree from Baylor University in 2018, where she is also recognized for Specialization in Trauma. She has worked within community mental health providing support to children, families and young adults. She also gained experience providing psychotherapy for survivors of domestic abuse and for children/youth within the foster care system. Amy aims to connect with each client, to build trust, to understand past hurts, and to support healing.
