Biography
Rowan Ownby is a dedicated and compassionate fellow committed to providing a nurturing environment where individuals can explore their emotions, challenges, and aspirations. With a warm and empathetic approach, she specializes in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, stress management, relationship issues, and more. This is your safe space.
Rowan believes in creating a nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of criticism or rejection. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, she believes in the power of partnership in navigating life's transitions. Rowan loves to work with adolescents aged 13-17 and adults of all ages.
Rowan received her Master’s from Loyola University in School and Community Counseling and obtained her Bachelor’s from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Music Education. She has experience working with a wide range of clients, including the immigrant and first-generation population.
