Biography
Rebecca Widney is a Master of Social Work graduate and military veteran who brings both lived experience and strong clinical training to her work as a therapist. With a deep commitment to compassionate, trauma-informed care, Rebecca supports clients navigating challenges related to trauma, chronic health conditions, and major life transitions. Her experience includes providing outpatient therapy at the Department of Veterans Affairs, working with veterans managing PTSD, anxiety, depression, and reintegration stress, as well as experience providing inpatient care at an inpatient mental health hospital for individuals in acute crisis through facilitating therapeutic groups and case management.
Grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, Rebecca emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and collaboration in every session. Her integrative approach draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies.
