Biography
Jess is a Resident in Counseling with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. Before transitioning into counseling, she built a career in corporate finance and the legal field, where she developed a deep understanding of the pressures and complexities individuals face in high-stakes professional environments. This distinctive background informs her ability to help clients explore the connection between workplace stress and overall well-being.

Jess completed her clinical training at Coastal Virginia Counseling & Mediation, where she refined her skills and deepened her commitment to supporting individuals through life's challenges. She takes a holistic, person-centered approach, honoring each client as the expert of their own life and creating a safe space where open dialogue and self-discovery can flourish. Jess believes counseling is a powerful tool for building self-awareness and developing meaningful coping strategies.

As an Authorized Brainspotting Practitioner, Jess integrates this innovative, evidence-based technique into her work to help clients access and process difficult memories and emotions through the connection between eye positioning and emotional experience — supporting deep, lasting healing.

Alongside Brainspotting, Jess weaves mindfulness and self compassion practices into her therapeutic approach, empowering clients to build resilience and cultivate a more balanced, fulfilling life.
