Biography
Danielle is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and enriching environment for her clients. She understands everyone’s therapy journey is unique and special so she strives to ensure all of her clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Therapy is a space for you to explore your talents and strengths, identify barriers, and learn new approaches to cope with stressors.
Most people greatly underestimate the skills and strengths they possess. She believes that empowering and highlighting skills a client already has allows the foundation for new coping strategies to be built.
Life can be challenging, and she believes nobody should ever feel like they are alone on their journey. When we are at a point in our lives where we feel overwhelmed, it can be difficult to see a way out. Danielle enjoys creating a safe non-judgmental relationship where clients can discuss the “not so pretty” parts of life.
Danielle received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Iowa and obtained her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Valparaiso University. She has experience working with a wide variety of populations and specializes in body image issues, disordered eating, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and crisis interventions.
