Biography
From an early age, April Lembezeder knew her path lay in the helping professions, though her deep passion for the work grew even beyond what she originally imagined. She firmly believes that amid life's inevitable ups and downs, everyone can benefit from a compassionate, unbiased, and nonjudgmental partner to help navigate challenging seasons. Whether meeting in person or virtually, April prioritizes building a safe, trusting environment where clients feel truly heard.

With over 25 years of experience across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, April has supported individuals of all ages—from young children to older adults. She holds a BS in Sociology and an MS in Counseling (specializing in Community Counseling) and is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC).

Because no two people navigate stress in quite the same way, April customizes her clinical approach to fit each client's unique needs. Her evidence-based toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing.

April earned national recognition, receiving an Award of Excellence from Magellan Health Services for her impactful research and training initiative on Recovery and Resiliency.

Outside of her professional work, April resides in Phoenix with her family and rescue dogs. She spends her free time tending to her garden, volunteering with a large breed dog rescue, watching baseball, getting lost in a good novel, and enjoying the outdoors.
